Members of the Pandoteira project team from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and Terra Cypria – The Cyprus Conservation Foundation are organising a presentation titled: “The Natura 2000 network and the importance of agricultural land”.
The presentation will take place on Friday April 8th, 2022, at the Cyprus University of Technology, at 15:30. Academics and students are invited to participate, however, the event is also open to the general public.
Purpose of this presentation
The purpose of this presentation is to:
- Generate awareness concerning the importance of the Natura 2000 network.
- Inform participants about the “Pandoteira” project and its role in managing the Natura 2000 network in Cyprus.
- Explain how sustainable agriculture plays a vital role in biodiversity conservation.

The presentation will be led by Terra Cypria-the Cyprus Conservation Foundation, which is the lead partner of Action E2.1: “Set up awareness-raising and information activities for targeted stakeholders” and Task 3: “Development of a Transfer and Replication Plan”.
A dedicated presentation on the importance of agriculture in biodiversity conservation will be given by a representative of the CUT.
