Introducing Pandoteira to High School pupils

As part of its social activities, the Nature Conservation Unit of Frederick University visited, on the 9th of December 2024, the Pancyprian Gymnasium in Nicosia, to inform and raise awareness among students on environmental and nature protection issues.

Through a presentation and constructive dialogue, the students had the opportunity to understand the value of the European network of protected areas Natura 2000 and the importance of its management for the protection of habitat types and species of flora and fauna, as implemented under the framework of the Pandoteira project.

Emphasis was placed on actions for public information and the dissemination of the project’s results. In addition, in an effort to encourage participation, pupils were informed about the project’s website, its social media channels and the project’s newsletter, through which they can be informed about the various actions and events of the Project.
