Members of the Pandoteira project Team from Terra Cypria, in collaboration with the Community Council of Agios Theodoros, organised an event in the community, on March 9, 2023. The event was titled: “Natura 2000: awareness raising and stakeholder information”.
The purpose of the event was to inform the members of the local community – as well as neighbouring communities – about the Pandoteira project and the project’s actions. Apart from the Pandoteira project presentation, our team had the opportunity to inform the local population about the importance of the Natura 2000 network.
In addition, participants were introduced to the concept of clustering and the commonalities and characteristics of the Natura 2000 sites which form their cluster and surround their communities.
During our interesting discussion with the participants, we were also able to present potential opportunities for the involvement of stakeholders and the general public.
